Environmentally friendly production
Manufacturing in Timbeco is eco-friendly and sustainable. We value a healthy and natural living environment. We try to avoid disturbing the environment around us and causing too much pollution. For example, we use the wood waste and saw dust produced by us for heating our factory. We also produce wood briquette from saw dust. In order to follow the principles of leaving a small ecological footprint, we optimise all our manufacturing processes ensuring as eco-friendly production as possible.
Currently, we are in the middle of introducing the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety System. We are hoping to gain both certificates in the beginning of 2016.
The quality of a prefabricated element, and thus the microclimate of rooms and the well-being of people living in these rooms, depends on the quality of materials used in production and construction. We only use high-quality and certified materials in our wooden houses.
The main raw material used for the manufacturing of prefab timber frame elements is Nordic pine. We do not treat our products with any chemicals and the wood we use comes from a well-managed forest which is proven by the FSC certificate of our suppliers.
